Reading the habitat
- Mikrohabitat & GeologieMicrohabitat & geology
Rocky quartzitic-sandstone ridges around Grahamstown and Alicedale, in shade to partial shade of subtropical thicket and shallow rock pockets containing acidic, humus-rich, freely drained soil.
- Klima / BiomClimate / biome
- Subtropisch und saisonal trocken; überwiegend milde Winter.Subtropical and seasonally dry, with generally mild winters.
- Klima am dokumentierten FundortClimate at the documented locality
No sufficiently precise locality is documented for this accession. No accession-specific temperature or precipitation values are therefore given; the general climatic setting of the natural range remains the basis.
- Cultivation inference
Use a small pot in bright light to partial shade and a very airy, fine mineral substrate with some organic matter. Prefer small controlled waterings to prolonged moisture.
