Reading the habitat
- Mikrohabitat & Geologie Microhabitat & geology
In coastal KwaZulu-Natal and southern Eswatini the species grows at forest margins, often along streams. Codd (1975) records it from semi-coastal forests between Port Shepstone, Ngoye, and Nkandla.
- Klima / Biom Climate / biome
- saisonal geprägter Standort seasonally structured habitat
- Klima am dokumentierten FundortClimate at the documented locality
No sufficiently precise locality is documented for this accession. No accession-specific temperature or precipitation values are therefore given; the general climatic setting of the natural range remains the basis.
- Cultivation inference
Forest margins and stream-side occurrence point to bright semi-shade, a humus-rich well-drained substrate and relatively even moisture during growth. Prolonged complete drought is not indicated by the habitat.
