03 / LEBENSRAUM UND KULTURHABITAT AND CULTIVATION

Reading the habitat

Mikrohabitat & Geologie Microhabitat & geology
For southern Africa, Codd records rocky wooded slopes, loamy flats with succulents, and sand-forest margins, from sea level to about 150 m elevation.

saisonal geprägter Standort seasonally structured habitat
Klima am dokumentierten FundortClimate at the documented locality
No sufficiently precise locality is documented for this accession. No accession-specific temperature or precipitation values are therefore given; the general climatic setting of the natural range remains the basis.
Cultivation inference
The softly succulent habit points to warmth, a free-draining substrate and regular watering during active growth. The substrate should dry appreciably between waterings; prolonged complete drought cannot be inferred from the habitat record.
